Health Insurance

MAXIMUS offers a comprehensive health benefits program including:

  • Medical insurance through Cigna nationwide network. California and Hawai'i residents also have access to Kaiser Permanente.
  • Prescription drug programs (automatically included with medical) that feature both retail benefits and a mail order program.
  • Dental insurance through Delta Dental for preventive, basic and major services. The MAXIMUS dental program gives freedom of choice in selecting a dentist while providing the opportunity to lower your cost by utilizing participation in one of the Delta Dental networks.
  • Vision insurance through VSP Vision which covers a wide range of services, including exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses, subject to a specific co-pay or co-insurance amount.
New employees of MAXIMUS will be eligible for benefits the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

FSA is a program which allows employees to set aside money for dependent care and for medical expenses which are not covered by health insurance but qualify for FSA reimbursement including co-payments, deductibles, eye exams, contact lenses and hearing aids. Dependent care expenses include eligible child care or elder care expenses.

Disability Insurance

MAXIMUS provides a Short- and Long-Term Disability Program equivalent to 60% of salary, if you should become medically disabled. New employees of MAXIMUS will be eligible for coverage under our disability programs, effective on the first of the month following a full month of employment.

Life Insurance/Accidental Death & Dismemberment

MAXIMUS provides Basic Term Life/Accident insurance up to two times salary, effective on your date of hire. Employees may also purchase additional Voluntary Life and Accident insurance covering themselves and/or their families.

Legal Services

Employees may opt to participate in the Hyatt Legal Services Plan, a network of over 7,000 attorneys nationwide, offering a range of legal services at little to no additional charge.

INOVA Employee Assistance Program

All MAXIMUS employees and their families have access to a free and confidential employee counseling program for their emotional and physical well-being.

Retirement Plan 401(k)

The MAXIMUS, Inc. 401(k) Plan helps employees plan for retirement. The plan enables participants to save and invest money while significantly reducing their current taxes. MAXIMUS employees who are at least 21 years of age are eligible on the date of hire. MAXIMUS matches fifty cents on the dollar of the first 6% of gross salary contributed per pay period (within IRS limits). Vesting of the matching funds is based on years of service. Matching funds are fully vested after four years of service.

Paid Time Off

MAXIMUS provides paid time off (PTO) to all benefits-eligible employees, for vacation, sick leave and other occasional instances.

METLIFE® offers discounts available for auto, home, renters and pet insurance through payroll deductions.

GlobalFit offers discounts to health clubs, NutriSystem, exercise videos, workout equipment and gear.

Northwest Federal Credit Union offers high-interest checking/savings accounts and low-interest loans.

Greater Texas Federal Credit Union offers membership to employees in Texas.

Project Bonuses/Management Bonus Plan

MAXIMUS rewards those employees who demonstrate superior performance through bonuses based on previously determined financial goals. Employees may receive monetary bonuses for accomplishments above and beyond expectations and when the project meets its financial targets and their performance merits special recognition.
