Congratulations to the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments (CHDA), a MAXIMUS wholly-owned subsidiary in the United Kingdom, for being awarded Merlin Accreditation by Assessment Services, Ltd. Merlin Accreditation is a prestigious recognition of any organization delivering on a contract through a supply chain, and CHDA is our second U.K. business to earn this recognition.
CHDA delivers the Health Assessment Advisory Service on behalf of the U.K. Department for Work & Pensions (DWP). The Health Assessment Advisory Service arranges and carries out assessments for DWP to determine whether or not individuals receive benefits due to illness or disability.
The Merlin Standard, designed to spotlight and reward sustainable excellence within supply chains, is built upon four fundamental principles: supply chain design, commitment, conduct and review. The Merlin Standard champions positive behaviors and relationships, with the aim of developing healthy, high performing supply chains.
The Merlin Standard, developed over two years by DWP in collaboration with representatives of the welfare sector, was implemented in response to concerns raised by providers operating as subcontractors over fair treatment by prime providers. It is generic by design and can be applied to any organization delivering on a contract through a supply chain.
This is an important accreditation, as it recognizes CHDA’s commitment as an organization to managing and maintaining supply chain relationships. It celebrates CHDA’s lasting integrity, past performance, future commitment and the quality of its collaborations that work together to deliver outstanding service.
