Forming local public-private partnerships to serve our clients better

Partnerships

MAXIMUS frequently engages with a wide range of community-based organizations, employers, multicultural business groups of all sizes, and a variety of other stakeholders to meet programmatic goals and serve program participants. Since our business serves diverse populations, we are committed to forming long-lasting public-private partnerships in local communities so that we may serve our clients better. Health Services

Georgia Families

The project assists eligible Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members to enroll into the Georgia Families Program, using community-based individuals to assist in education and enrollment sessions. We have also partnered with over 1,300 community-based organizations and venues to provide education to our member community.

Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) Member Services

The project provides customer service for Iowa Medicaid members. IME Member Services works with the Iowa Independent Living Centers to extend Medicaid for Employed Persons with Disabilities. IME Member Services has also collaborated with the IME Provider Services Department to participate at Provider Annual Training.

Michigan Enrollment Broker Services (MIEBS)

The project provides services to MIChild (CHIP) and Medicaid managed care beneficiaries. In all 83 counties in Michigan, MIEBS subcontracts with Community Action Agencies (CAAs), nonprofit private and public organizations to provide education and enrollment services to Medicaid beneficiaries.

New York Medicaid Choice (NYMC)

The project provides managed care enrollment services, working closely with over 40 community-based organizations and with the business community to conduct outreach and education to linguistically diverse populations in New York City. We currently have a contractual agreement with the Community Service Society, a 150-year-old social services agency that is renowned and venerated for its assistance to New York's most vulnerable populations.

Texas Project

The project, which includes Texas Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Texas Enrollment Broker (EB)/Texas Health Steps, and Texas Eligibility Support Services, administers services for the three major Health and Human Services Commission outsourced programs and performs the state’s eligibility support functions for Medicaid, Medicaid Eligibility for the Elderly and People with Disabilities, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Food Stamps, and Women’s Health Programs.

MAXIMUS uses contracted community-based organization agreements to supplement the MAXIMUS staff to broaden our reach into the community for Medicaid families needing assistance in enrollment or referral to medical or dental providers or other community resources. We also sponsor health fairs and enrollment events at which community stakeholder organizations are regular participants. Field-based MAXIMUS staff throughout the state also serve on a variety of local advisory boards and councils with shared interest in the Medicaid and CHIP client populations such as the March of Dimes, CHIP Coalitions, Community Resource Coordination Groups, and Children’s Defense Fund.

Virginia Enrollment Broker Services

The project provides Medicaid managed care services to over 400,000 consumers statewide through a primary care case management program called MEDALLION, and through managed care organizations. As a requirement in the contract, MAXIMUS uses small business partners to help the state meet its goals for utilizing small businesses.

Children & Families Services

Georgia Child Care

The project handles the management and payment of Georgia’s subsidized child care program, Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS). MAXIMUS contracts with a small, minority owned business for staff augmentation and many of the providers that we serve through GA CAPS are small business owners to whom we provide support and training.

Michigan Medical Support Enforcement

The project manages the data and performs follow-up services related to National Medical Support Notices received by the Friend of the Court (FOC) offices. We provide new or updated health insurance information to Michigan Department of Community Health for children receiving Medicaid and process birthing costs requests from FOCs and County Prosecutors for children whose parents were receiving Medicaid. MAXIMUS uses a small temp agency, CareerQuest, which is associated with a training center to fill staffing needs.

Tennessee 11th Judicial District Child Support

The project provides full-service child support operations for the 11th Judicial District in Tennessee. MAXIMUS works with a number of community based-organizations dedicated to employment, food, housing, medical, transportation, and legal assistance to help parents provide for themselves and their children.

Federal Services

MAXIMUS Federal Part D Qualified Independent Contractor (QIC)

MAXIMUS Federal acts as the independent review entity responsible for conducting reconsiderations of adverse coverage determinations and redeterminations made by Part D plans in the Medicare Prescription Drug Program. MAXIMUS Federal engages with small business partners as temporary staffing subcontractors on our projects.
