John Boyer has served as President of MAXIMUS Federal Services since 2005. Dr. Boyer oversees a broad array of government contracts with federal and state agencies, providing administrative and health program support services such as independent review, health care quality and compliance monitoring, facility certification and case management. 

Dr. Boyer joined MAXIMUS in 1995 and has played a critical role in leading and growing the Company’s Health Services efforts, bringing more than 30 years of experience in health care delivery including clinical, administrative, and managed care services.

Prior to MAXIMUS, Dr. Boyer was Director, Health Services Financing Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) at the Pentagon.

He holds a B.S. in education from Illinois State University, an M.S. in nursing from New York Medical College, an M.S. in management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Ph.D. in public administration/public policy analysis from American University.
