This session will provide a basic understanding of expectations for an internal control environment based on the Federal Green Book. We will discuss the Internal Control Cube and how the expectations for internal controls cross, departments, units, and divisions and entity wide expectations. We will discuss the control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring. Attendees can expect to have a basic understanding of internal controls with which they can assist their organizations in the development of an internal control environment which reduces organizational risks.
