Boise Rescue Mission Vice President and City Light representative Jason Billester (second from L) meets with Boise MAXIMUS employees (L to R): Stephanie Short, Tanya Soler, and Roy Arterbury in May 2014. Tanya serves as a MAXIMUS Foundation Ambassador to our Boise operations.

City Light Home for Women and Children provides women and children with a safe haven in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. Established in 2000 to meet the challenges of growing homelessness in the area, the shelter offers a variety of services to the individuals who walk through its doors. This includes overnight shelter care, meal provision, employment resources, counseling, addiction recovery, and children’s programs.

The MAXIMUS staff in Boise collectively raised more than $1,600 for City Light. Employees ordered Candy Grams to be delivered to friends and coworkers with 100% of the proceeds going to the shelter. The funds provided the shelter with much needed items like diapers, baby wipes and other toiletries. As the shelter is only seven miles from the Boise office, our employees are truly making a difference to help their neighbors in need.
