Joining the #GivingTuesday Conversation
You are here
We are excited to share this morning’s announcement from MAXIMUS CEO Richard Montoni of the MAXIMUS Foundation’s participation in the second ever Giving Tuesday, a national campaign to create a day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. On December 3rd through December 13th the MAXIMUS Foundation will join a multitude of partners in driving conversation surrounding the charitable spirit.
Much like Black Friday marks the beginning on the holiday shopping season, we will use the Giving Tuesday platform to kick off the season of giving as we undertake an outreach campaign designed to bring both new and old MAXIMUS employees into the Foundation fold. This is a perfect opportunity for our project offices around the country to showcase the sense of community that underpins all of our charitable efforts, and many will be participating in various local initiative that benefit vulnerable populations this holiday season. “I believe the projects we operate and objectives we strive to attain every day make our employee base one of the most uniquely compassionate and widely inspiring groups anyone could ask to be associated with”, Montoni remarked.

The beginning of the holiday season is nearly upon us as we celebrate another exceptional year at MAXIMUS. The important work you do every day to support public health and human services programs reinforces our role as a trusted partner in our local communities. As such, we invite you to share in our latest corporate initiative for giving back.
As you may have read in our last employee newsletter, the MAXIMUS Foundation is participating in the national Giving Tuesday campaign on December 3, 2013. You may be familiar with the shopping days known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday that follow Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to channel our enthusiasm for the upcoming holiday season through charitable support for local non-profit organizations.
As part of the Giving Tuesday campaign, we ask you to please consider becoming a regular supporter of the MAXIMUS Foundation. When you sign up to make tax-deductible contributions through a payroll deduction, the Company matches your donation 100%. This combined contribution doubles the financial support that we provide to non-profit organizations that collectively serve thousands of low-income and otherwise disadvantaged children, families and communities across the nation. You can learn more about many of the organizations we support by visiting www.maximusfoundation.org.
Whether you make payroll donations to the Foundation, participate in charitable events at your office, or support corporate disaster relief efforts, we thank you for your continued commitment to improving the lives of our neighbors in need. Stay tuned for additional information about Giving Tuesday in the coming weeks and have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
