WorkQWEST, a comprehensive case management system for employment services developed by MAXIMUS, is a robust and dynamic system with the ability to track actual participation in work activities daily, automatically compile and display "to do" lists for case managers, and create real-time reports. With new TANF reauthorization requirements in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, TANF providers must capture every possible work participation hour as accurately as possible. Projects that currently use WorkQWEST have experienced an increase in work activity reporting, particularly of partial hours reporting. WorkQWEST is easily configured to the unique needs of each state or local jurisdiction, so that participation rates are accurately reported.
- Real time tracking of project performance
- Automatically generated reminders that alert case managers to action items
- Work activities and retention are easy to track, increasing reporting rates
- Entire participant histories are accessible with a mouse click
- Case managers have instant access to their entire caseload
With WorkQWEST, case managers have specially-designed screens to perform intake and assessment, create individual services strategies, track participant attendance, create class rosters, research sanction records, record participant education and work hours, and match each participant to job opportunities based on their unique background.
WorkQWEST allows for instant access and update of participant information, leaving more time for case managers to work with participants.
Job developers have several tools in WorkQWEST to increase their effectiveness at assisting clients to find jobs.
The Job Match technology allows job developers to run an automated job match on available positions. Once a job developer enters a description into WorkQWEST, the system immediately generates a list of clients that meet the basic requirements for the job. Job developers are able to tell potential employers of the employment pool with just a mouse click, building the basis for strong employer relationships.
With WorkQWEST, job developers can also track contacts made with employers, scheduled interviews, and the number of clients each employer has hired.
For project management, reports make it easy to monitor program performance and that of individual case managers.
- Reminders can be set up so that if project performance drops below expectations, the entire project is alerted
- Managers can design custom reports from WorkQWEST that assist management to reach program goals.
