TIENET's web-based Instructional Data Management System (IDMS) organizes the instructional process and monitors its impact on achieving mandated educational standards. TIENET helps schools comply with all No Child Left Behind (NCLB) regulations. Using TIENET technology, educators can focus instruction, manage resources, measure student and teacher performance, and focus professional development to improve student achievement. TIENET provides the tools needed to make informed decisions based on real-time data.
TIENET's Response to Intervention module is designed to support educators as they attempt to build and implement a systematic and seamless, school-wide approach to identifying and responding to underperforming students. It utilizes progress monitoring and a unique problem-solving framework to identify and serve students who require interventions to meet their academic goals . Educators are able to quickly and accurately identify students who need help and to design, deliver and monitor the intervention strategies that result in increased student performance.
Advantages of the TIENET RtI solution include:
- Provision of school's own early intervention techniques for struggling students
- Frequent and easy progress monitoring with color-coded graphs of results
- A tool to manage interventions pertinent to each school's curriculum
- Provision of data-driven decision making tools to inform educators in the instructional process
- Ability to utilize the data gathered through the intervention process to determine eligibility for provision of special education services
TIENET's Response to Intervention System is the bridge which connects our Instructional Data Management System to our Special Education Case Management System.
TIENET's web-based Special Education Case Management system (SECM) documents all special education activities including pre-referral, eligibility, IEP development, service documentation, reporting to parents, and billing Medicaid. All of these features promote accountability to achieve compliance with state and federal reporting requirements promulgated in IDEA 2004. The TIENET system provides case management features including: calendaring, messaging, group "threaded discussions", document and event chronology, guided actions, and reference materials. The Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) endorsed TIENET as a solution that helps promote the professional standards and practice of special education.
