Our state-of-the-art collection center combines the best of technology with skilled collection techniques, applying the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act when applicable. MAXIMUS locates student loan borrowers and makes contact in an attempt to collect the delinquent balances owed. MAXIMUS offers student loan debt collection services under different loan programs and for individual states, universities, or colleges.

NACo Agreement
In conjunction with the National Association of Counties (NACo), Hamilton County, Ohio selected MAXIMUS as their partner recovering receivables previously deemed uncollectible. MAXIMUS will assist the County with collecting child support, court fines and fees, parking or moving violations, and emergency medical services fees. In addition, our program is now endorsed by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) and the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP).

Court Debts
MAXIMUS, through its Justice Solutions Division, is a leading provider of court data management software. By combining our software design expertise with our Child Support Enforcement collection skills, MAXIMUS offers a seamless solution to courts that have had a difficult time collecting overdue fines, penalties, and court fees. Courts may not have the in-house expertise to collect or may want to outsource the debts that are over a certain age. This allows the court to concentrate on its core functions while successfully recouping formerly uncollected debt.

County and Municipal Debts
MAXIMUS offers a service to collect taxes and fines owed to counties and cities. We provide the county or municipality with our highly successful, proven collection services. The collection is contingent-fee based, so there is no cost to placing the debt with us – we only get paid when we collect.

Housing Authority Debts
MAXIMUS collects past-due rent and other fees owed to housing authorities. We work closely with the housing authorities to come up with a successful collection strategy.
