Plain Talk in Complex Times

The Center for Health Literacy hosted its fifth communication conference, Plain Talk in Complex Times, March 12–13, 2015.

The conference took place in Arlington, Virginia and included two days of speakers, panels and workshops designed to build skills for communicating about health — in person, online, and in print. This unique conference featured experts in communication technology, usability, plain language, accessibility, design, cultural competence and non-verbal communication.

"Communications Tune Up" Webinar Series

This series of free webinars, a follow-up to the successful "Design That Delivers" series, focused on strategies for clear and effective print, digital and mobile communication. Experts from the Center for Health Literacy shared tips to make complicated information easier to read and understand. Each one-hour webinar included a discussion forum for questions and answers.
