Job Description:

The Associate Engineer performs analysis and design for health and human services systems projects

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects
  • Perform technical analysis
  • Develop code for modules of small to large scope
  • Provide application support/troubleshoot a variety of problems
  • Perform/support user acceptance testing and unit testing
  • Participate in group discussions with peers or external groups
  • Work with external vendors, when necessary
  • Perform data modeling / database design work
  • Write concise and clear technical documents
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

Qualifications:

The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university or be a graduating senior in the same fields or equivalent.

Technical Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • Working knowledge in all phases of software lifecycle
  • Exceptional analytical skills
Subject Matter Expertise/Experience Preferred:
  • Zero to two years of related experience and/or training in Analysis
  • Two to four years of professional/related experience
  • Design and Development of Complex applications
Personal/Soft Skills:                                                                                                         
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment
  • Demonstrated success to execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills
  • Extensive leadership experience in either work or extracurricular activities,
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively within project teams.
  • Willingness to travel
