Associate Analyst, Corporate Finance

Job Description:

The Associate Analyst assists our finance and accounting managers with tasks such as preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare account reconciliations and various analyses in support of various projects
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports
  • Collect, organize and analyze financial data
  • Ensure contractual compliance related to all assigned tasks
  • Builds and maintain working relationships with operating and other finance groups and provide them with subject matter expertise
  • Document policies and procedures as required
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Assist with coordination of information flow for both internal and external auditors
  • Assist with special projects as required
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

Qualifications:

MAXIMUS seeks graduating seniors of any major*, but will give preference to the following:
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics

*Applicants should have a minimum of 9 credit hours in accounting coursework

Technical Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Beginner Access skills
Personal/Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with complex assignments
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask under deadlines both as a team member and independently
