Live Event & Webcast on February 6th: Opportunities for State Innovation in Health Insurance Programs
You are here
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) includes a special provision for states to take new approaches to their health insurance programs: Section 1332. Commonly referred to as the 2017 State Innovation Waiver, Section 1332 gives states greater flexibility on how they can provide health insurance coverage to their citizens and support new initiatives for how they manage their Medicaid programs.
As a leading operator of state health and human services programs, including health insurance eligibility and enrollment services in support of the ACA, MAXIMUS has taken an active role in the advancement of state health programs through the ACA’s provisions. To explore how to leverage Section 1332 in creating innovation for public health insurance programs, we will be hosting a live event and webcast on February 6 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. focused on opportunities for states.
The live event is open to the public and will be held at the Knight Conference Center at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The event will also be webcast online. It will feature a distinguished panel of public health policy experts discussing new approaches that states can take for both the design and operations of their health insurance programs.
